Jarred Wright

Drawing inspiration from the stoney beaches of the Hurunui district where the river pulls sedimentary rock from the mountains to the sea, and the powerful ocean tides grind and polish the rock until smooth and round. Jarred Wright has created glass objects of polished rock forms combined with twisted seaweed wreaths, paying tribute to and evoking the memory of exploring the vast landscape of shapes and colours of the beautiful rocky north Canterbury shorelines. This exhibition will be shown in Form Gallery, Christchurch from November 4-28, 2020.
